- 1 rib eye steak

- 2 T. butter

- cherry tomatoes

- lettuce

- 2 green onions, sliced

- 1/4 cup soy sauce

- 2 T. sherry

- 1 T. brown sugar

- 4 cloves garlic, minced

- 2 T. fresh ginger, minced

- 1/4 cup olive oil

- 2 T. lime juice

- 1 jalapeño, diced

In a jar, combine soy sauce, sherry, brown sugar, garlic, olive oil, ginger, lime juice and jalapeño. Shake well. Pour half of the mixture into a gallon bag with the steak to marinade. Marinade for about an hour. Grill the steak to your liking. Finish by topping the steak with butter. We grilled ours on a Blackstone grill, but you can use any type of grill or even a cast iron pan inside. Let rest for a few minutes (the steak needs to rest, you don't need to take a nap). For the salad, place lettuce in a serving dish and top with cherry tomatoes, green onions and the rest of the dressing. Cut the steak into slices and place on top of the salad.
